Mustard Seed Food Bank
Tonne of Christmas Love for Victoria Families in Need
For four years, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) Lodge #2 has showed their giving spirit with the Tonne of Love food challenge in support of the Mustard Seed Food Bank. Through their partnership with Country Grocer, and led by Odd Fellows Josh Miller and Jason Sikora, they’ve raised thousands of pounds of fresh food to help those Victoria families in need during the holiday season.
“The Tonne of Love Food Challenge is about feeding our own home town and we’re thrilled with its success,” says Josh Miller, Odd Fellows Columbia Lodge #2 lead for the charitable campaign. “We wouldn’t be successful with out the help of great organizations like Country Grocer and the multiple local organizations that step up to give back to our community and support Victoria families. Thank you!”
With the help of individual donations and contributions from organizations such as Sloan Valley Dairies, DTZ Victoria, Colliers International Victoria, and Parker Johnston, Boorman Real Estate, Cook St. Wineworks, Atomique Productions, Island Shoe Place Ltd., Karen Love Real Estate, Creekmore Coffee, Adams Storage, CIBC Wood Gundy, Il Terrazzo, Clear Skin Victoria Laser and Wellness Group, the Odd Fellows are able to provide amazing fresh and nutritious Holiday food hampers for hundreds of families. These hampers include turkey and ham, milk, eggs and cheese, fresh fruits and vegetables, desserts and treats and so much more.
